(I'm beginning this post with an apology to anyone who came to read it initially when it was posted earlier. The poll was not working again, same issue as last week and I think I'm just going to have to actually make these posts the same day that they go live. Thank you everyone for your patience and big shoutout to Dim and Shmatty for informing me again.)
Welcome to yet another Elimination Round. There were a lot of votes for the best 80s movie. There was a tie between The Thing and Evil Dead.
Both movies were phenomenal and the thing that stuck out to me the most were the practical effects. (Spiderhead, anyone? That's the stuff of nightmares.)
Week 0 was a test run to see if you guys would be interested in this idea. I'm super stoked that you liked it and were able to properly vote once I figured out the small tech issue (shoutout to Shmatty and Sam for letting me know).
Now onto Week 1. I like the idea of writing up something a little special about the winner of these polls. Maybe something small can be added into next week's blog post depending on which film wins this round. But, we will be focusing on dolls.
I've mentioned on stream before that I had a fear of dolls as a kid. For those that don't know, I was exposed to one of the Chucky movies (I think it was Child's Play, but I can't remember) at a very young age and I think he sparked my fear. Every doll I ever got as a gift got thrown into a bin in my closet, had the lid closed, and I stacked toys on top of it so that the dolls couldn't escape to attack me and my family. As soon as I was old enough to begin getting rid of toys on my own, those dolls were the first to go.
Anyway, onto the voting...
The Theme: Dolls
The Contestants:
Most Terrifying Doll?
Child's Play
Annabelle
Dead Silence
Puppet Master
It's based off of an actual haunted doll in Germany I think or France
They are all terrifying 🤣
Where's Robert 😂
