Hi everyone and welcome back to the Elimination Round! This week's focus will be on slasher films and their universe. I sometimes wonder what makes a slasher a truly good experience. I think of Scream because of how hilarious Matthew Lillard is. We get some good comedy mixed with horror (but not in the cheesy way). I also think of Nightmare on Elm St. because of its originality (and sometimes because of Freddy's unserious vibes).
But what about you? What makes a good slasher film and can you think of any good examples outside of the ones that are named below?
The Theme: Best Slasher Universe
The Contestants:
Best Slasher?
Candyman (1992)
Psycho (1960)
Sleepaway Camp 2 (1988)
My Bloody Valentine (1981)
I think I've only seen Psycho of these picks!
Plot Twists, in the 3rd season of the TV Series Slasher, we guessed and guessed but never saw what was coming with the reveal of who the druid was.
